This album is a collection of some of my favourite songs from the Irish, English and Scottish song traditions. I had the honour of working with traditional singers Eilís Ní Shúilleabháin and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh at the beginning of my career and am eternally grateful to them for sharing their knowledge and expertise. I am also forever grateful to Máire Neville, Grace Toland, Máire Ní Choilm, Dara Englishby and all the other singers and musicians from whom I got these songs. This album was recorded at two locations, The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and our home studios at Liosnafaha, Co. Clare. Reverb recorded using vintage analog techniques in a physical echo chamber space.

Originally hailing from Co.Meath, Róisín is an accomplished solo performer, guitarist and composer. In 2011 she was awarded her degree in Irish Music and Dance, specialising in Traditional Irish song with tutors Eilís Ní Shúilleabháin and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh.
